I personally raised $18,000 for Kerry last night. Last time he came to town I only got $2,000 with a similar amount of phonecalls. This is a strong sign to me that people are waking up to John Kerry as the clear choice. The money should get easier and easier to raise. Last night in two parties they got about $100,000 (remember can only raise $2000 max per person). In the future we ought to be able to get $250,000 per night. And a lot of those power-brokers and wealthy people last night are going to tell their friends and get personally involved. Except for the anti-war Democrats further to the left for Howard Dean, I see no such excitement surrounding other candidates. Edwards is adorable but seen as a VP choice, not ready for the top job yet. Lieberman can forget about it though he is the best known. Nobody wants him to be the Democratic choice, not even most Jews. They know better. Gephardt is the only other possibility but he has an old hat feel to him. I doubt he'll inspire too many people. Kerry's freedom from special interests also makes him the clear choice.
