Rather DID ask Saddam directly if he would go into exile and he said no. If there were any chance of him saying otherwise, wouldn't he have given at least a hint then? How would you have gotten him to give the hint he would leave? I'd like an answer to that.

I don't know? But, a skilled interviewer might know how to push Saddam on the exile issue and try to get him to reveal something that's going on inside his head. I think Saddam is bluffing. If he came out and told the world that he intends on going into exile the game would be over. I think he's probably making arrangments behind the scenes to go into exile and will at the last minute to avert a war. But, he is crazy enough to sit it out and let himself be killed in a war. So, who knows?
