The med is bad because it is so clear. I had a friend who flew the P-3 over there and said a sub shallower then 400' could be seen on a clear day. I enjoyed Italy and the Rock.

Sea Story: I was in MM1 and running a 2 banger (running both hi pressure air compressor's) and Sullivan yells out attention on deck from the IC space. I yelled at him that he was really funny as we don't do that onboard and he yells it again. I said as I rounded the corner, "Kelly shut the fuck up and stop playing around," and come face to face with Rear Admiral Bell who was riding us for a few days after passing through the straight. Whoops:)

I would add that he found it quite funny. Thank God!
