Please forgive me for barging in and posting somewhat off-topic:

A woman I know came up with a great way to show the men & women of the Armed Forces currently stationed in the Middle East that we are thinking of, and support, them:

Send them music CD's. (It's apparently a common request in letters home because it is often pretty boring there.)

Someone else gave it a name: Operation Troop Trax. Others are calling radio stations in their area asking them to mention it. One band already donated 50 CD's and an on-line e-bay-type retailer offered her entire current on-line inventory. The idea is to send new or used CD's: any donations received (via PayPal or Amazon) will be used to buy CD's at half.com ($5 a CD). Used CD's can be sent to her for packaging.

Anyone interested can check out Michele's weblog:

(I already put my money where my mouth is and am going through my own CD collection and pulling everything I haven't listened to in months - not doing anyone any good sitting there and might be enjoyed by someone whose life may soon be on the line.)

If anyone is offended by the interruption, I do apologize.

We now resume our regular programming...
