newbie Thank you for the information. I called and requested annual reports for SSYS and TDSC (major competitor for SSYS I think). Your views that SSYS is well postitioned to beat competition, patent protection, etc. is exactly the type of information which I seek. Browsing the WWW for rapid prototyping product descriptions is useful, but objective enlightenment concerning the advantages/disadvantages of any particular product system or company are not provided. Instead, one is presented with an advertisement or promotion of a given company's product (eg. TDSC products at 3d.com). Maybe after examining the annual reports from both companies, some of these issues will become clearer. Once again, thank you for your help.
