Mark, do you think they've bought the photos for over Iraq?

And what do you make of this, Mark?

I think most folks would support a just war. This is not a just war and the reasons for going into this war keep changing nearly on a weekly basis. The evidence produced to justify this war has often been proven bogus and at best speculative.
Moreover, with the US economy as it is indeed Bush has a motive for war and the war on Iraq is convenient for covering over the fact he didn't nab OBL or most of the Taliban leadership. Bush could also be attempting to show to his dad that he can do what his dad might otherwise have attempted had he won a second term. This war is also convenient for Israel, a nation which has defied scores of UN resolutions and won't even be party to agreements to limit weapons of mass destruction.
Now, I've already pointed out quite a bit and I haven't even mentioned the bonus of controlling the mother lode of oil supply. Controlling Iraq means one has the power to put oil into the market and also the power to keep oil out of the market. When you examine the make-up of the Bush Administration, even an ardent hawk would have to agree that this administration is pretty greasy.
Besides, the best way to assure weapons of mass destruction are not used against the United States is to not provide any entity any reason for doing so.
When is the last time you heard anything from this administration regarding education? So long as you keep impoverished and uneducated people in the world, you're gonna draw some hatred. Bush has NEVER addressed any of the reasons which breed terrorism. Instead, he's reacted similar to trying to kill a fly by using a 100 pound fly swatter. Makes no sense!
Think. Remember the horror we all experienced after 9/11? All of the famlies so gravely impacted by this terrible and most irresponsible act? Well, it'll be the same thing, except Americans and Brits will be the terrorists this time. That's how the Arab world will view this, and matters will only worsen, not improve.
Do I present a fair case, Mark? |
