10:30AM: Sellers have gained some traction with prices firming and buyers having to bid up prices following the better-than-expected Michigan Sentiment reading and Chicago PMI Index... In particular, the latter slipped to 54.9%, from 56.0% in January, but was above the consensus estimate of 52.5%... Given the large declines in the Empire State and Philadelphia Fed Indices, this slight decline will be seen as a positive to most market participants, especially considering the fact that the new orders component of the Chicago PMI remained strong at 59%, and the production component held steady above 62% ...
