How do you distinguish between virtual communities and blogging? Is it the quality of the writing? As this site demonstrates, having the power to moderate looney-tunes is essential to good exchange of ideas on the Internet. Not all ideas are created equal. One of my favorite bloggers is a Ph.D. economist who is a full professor at UC Berkeley, Brad DeLong. I challenge you to find any lack of intellectual power in his blogging. econ161.berkeley.edu
