Here is what I find cool about this forum. I think (regardless of posturing) that most of us are really trying our level best to be analytical and logical about our approach to this topic. We may not agree but at least there is a well intended dialogue on the topic which IMO is the American way. Your words make me think about my stand and isn't that what a GREAT country like ours is all about? I appreciate your questions and concerns about the topic and don't view them as anti American at all brother!

I wholeheartedly agree with your statement. Sometimes, when I'm involved in discussions on these SI threads, I wonder if I'm living in the United States or in some sort of dictatorship?!? Some people just have a hard time tollerating the fact that there are other people out there that have different opinions than their own. It's nice to come across someone who is interested in a reasoned and civil debate. I've learned more from my political opponents, just by virtue of the fact that they open up a new prespective to me that I hadn't already considered, then from my fellow political travelers. That is indeed the American way and what makes this country great.
