To call such prostitution of our history 'responding to a market opportunity', wow Gulo, you might want to reconsider your tone on that ... for sure there is 'embarrassment on our part', i am deeply ashamed of any canadian who would consider selling these people such advertising rights for any amount of money

The responsibility does not end there with the tart on the street however, the pimps and the johns should rightly share a good deal of it

'The reason Walmart employees ..... don't have an opportunity to provide more valuable service elsewhere' - just might have something to do with better opportunities being killed off by predatory behaviour of their current employer? ... i dunno, i'm no bigtime scientist, just a logger, but when i hear of shopkeepers not being able to buy wholesale for the price the Arkansas outfit sells for, due to the predatory behaviour of the latter in their buying practices as well, i start to wonder just what is the net benefit to us to keep renewing their tourist card

But let's not confuse the issue .... i only just saw for the first time the other day those ads where they try to sleaze themselves into our history, apparently the ads have been running for ages but i don't watch telly much obviously, and it was a disgusting sight as i'm sure you understand on some level .... sure canadians share blame for permitting such things to happen, still it is clearly cynical opportunism on the part of the john, and grossly inappropriate ... call that observation anything you like, i really don't think 'xenophobia' fits though, not even close ... a shade less moderation in defense of our liberty would do us good, imho

One thing i did notice later last night, from that site, was that Walmart had been permitted involvement in the financing of the centre as early as Feb 2001, this was previous to the most recent attack by their federal corruptos on our forestry, which got going full swing in July and August of '01 .... so it was a friendlier time between these two nations, for sure, there is that .... still, when we see our history pimped out now, it is in light of current hostilities
