Dont be brainwashed that America is moving to the right.
They may have given Bush their fleeting loyalty after 9-11, and for good reason, any president would have gotten full support, even I supported Bush then, but the advantage the GOP got from that and the Monica Lewinsky smear campaign, is being replaced by massive malaise and economic depression/recession/uncertainty. You see today's list of top billionaires. Even they have been hit hard. Everyone has been hit and once Bush has a noble opponent standing toe to toe with him many-many people which realize we can do a lot better. Kerry will be running as far to the middle as he can. And Bush is certainly not conservative about financial matters, nor even morality when it comes to his sleazy politics, follow slogans, partisanship at all costs and phony promises. George Bush Sr. had even higher approval ratings at this point in his one term. In the end it's the economy stupid, and if you think Bush's policies will fix are economy you'll be sorely disappointed. Bush also has alienated most of our allies and the world. They dont vote but they have great influence. Already the right is attacking every country that doesn't vote to give Bush 100% power. That is an irrational, harmful and isolationist attitude. And if Bush does get re-elected we could have a global DEPRESSION. Except the military sector of course. All in the name of fighting back against 9-11, a band of terrorists mainly from Saudi Arabia, Bush's favorite ally.
