Yeah, that's unfortunate to say the least. There ought to be a way to share the burdens equitably. Hopefully we (the global we) can reach agreement on a modified version, or perhaps make progress via a less encompassing protocol.

Is it expected that China's economy will surpass that of the US within the next several decades? If so, we can only hope they take the lead on the global environment sooner rather than later.
