The problem is we already have the right to attack based on 1441 not being upheld on Iraqs end. We didn't ask them to not uphold their end, they did this of their own accord. Personally I believe the international community needs to be as harsh on Iraq as they have been in their judgement on the US. France is only holding out because they want to get the debt that Iraq owes them repaid. Russia wants drilling rights. So maybe we should look at those countries and wonder if they have ulterior motives. I think any fair person would say they do. If we decide to invade and France does not support us then I would make sure they get NOTHING in terms of repayment. Truth be told France is just really pissed off that they don't get the respect that the UK does on a global level. In short - France is nothing in terms of importance on a global level and that irritates them.
