No other Democrat candidate has the means to offset the huge GOP fundraising advantage led by our fundraiser in chief who has spent more time fundraising than any president by far. An estimated 20% of Bush's time has been spent fundraising, and much it is involves arm-twisting and promises of tit for tat, at least that's what John McCain claims is happening. Kerry's military heroism will also negate Bush's military issue advantages. And when they compare war records, Bush's desertion from his Texas Air Guard unit for a whole year without notification will be a glaring character difference. Bush have to run with Powell to win. But even that may not be enough given the predicted economic gloom going into 2004.
