Bush is toast, these gas prices are going to take us back into recession unless they drop unexpectedly and soon. He's likely toast anyway, but this is another nail in the coffin. I'm sure you are aware that it is the %-increase that is the issue with gas prices, it upsets the equilibrium. Yes I know CA has high gas due to taxes. But if gas goes from $1.25 to $1.40 in the rest of the country that is no different from it going from $1.65 to $2.10 here. Large price increases in small time periods. Ask yourself what AG is going to do about this... this is clearly inflationary but raising rates will kill us.
