Actually, the U.N. really is irrelevant. The only reason why people prefer us to get "authorization" before attacking is because most people still want the U.N. to see things our way.

Then that means that a majority of the American public sees the UN as relevant....only the right and Mr. Bush think otherwise. The fact that you all are so out of step is extremely dangerous to the well being of the rest of us.

Assuming the war is quick and relatively light in casualties, the percentage supporting the war in hindsight will be significantly higher. This can change on a moment's notice if the body bags start piling up. And you can bet the Dems and the media will start focusing very closely on the death toll, and not just for the humanity of it.

I hope you're right. I have a sneaking suspicion this war is not going to be an easy one. Logic would say otherwise but we shall see.
