What do you think about this author's opinion that game players do not do what they should do? Does this "game equilibrium" have anything to do with real world choices people make?

It has nothing to do with economics as it can be seen as a form of entertainment, with the fact that small amounts of real money are involved being meaningless. Behavior with not only insignificant rewards, but under observation.
