EC, I'd like to see much more emphasis in the U.S on energy conservation and safe non-carbon-based alternative energy. My problem all along with the current energy policy has been that the "cheap fuels" addiction just sets us up for a greater fall when supplies tighten up. Too many greedy people in the U.S. have borrowed too much money to buy huge energy-guzzling dream-houses and SUVs. I think we're setting ourselves up for a nasty shock when we've pumped all our wells dry and the rest of the world (Canada included) tightens the screws. Maybe I should quit teasing Marcos about adding BC as a U.S. state, and start looking into Canadian citizenship.
