The first few days, or one week,of a War will give the US and the military a much better idea of how big a job is involved.
A rapid collapse of Saddam's terror machine would probably bring France and others "on-board" in an attempt to salvage their investments or contracts in the region
This could free up 4 of the 6 Carrier groups in the Gulf, as long as we get bases in Turkey.
All we need is patience, doing one operation at a time permits us to speak with a louder tongue from a position of strength. We could move the 4 Carriers close to S Korea which would give N Korea the attention they seem to seek.
Plans are being made and consultations with other Nations are being held in regard to what can or should be done about N Korea. We are not going to hear about them except generalizations until they are farther along and can be presented to the public in such a manner that accusations of 'mind changing' and 'confusion' are not brought down on the heads of the Administration.
