Yes, they only come about when there is a fundamental new paradigm in the economy. Prior to the 1920's it was the industrial revolution in which man and animal strength was replaced by machines, Currently it is information technology where human reflexes if not knowlede is replaced by machines. This development has a long way to go before it peters out, and it will manifest itself in different ways just as the industrial revolution began with steam, moved to electricity, and then general chemistry. What Junior did was to try to stop this paradigm and revert back to the old one. He only succeeded in stopping this one, and only temporarily, maybe another decade or two.
