In reference to where the President's head is now that IRAQ is destroying the missiles.....
What head. The man is completely insane.

If he backs away from war now (which is the right thing to do)- the US loses face, we have to recall the troops already in the gulf (at great expense) and Bush loses in the next election.

If he goes to war, wins, and uncovers some huge WMD vault in what was the subway under Baghdad, Bush thinks he will then win the support of the world and US voters again.

So his motivation is the latter. The other case, (going to a prolonged war and finding nothing) is the worst outcome- it doesn't seem like this is even being considered.
