Patriotic Rallies From Florida to Oregon to Pennsylvania

In case you missed our announcement Wednesday of the pro-America rallies being held around the country, check it out again. Many are going on this weekend, including those in Cleveland, Washington, Nashville, Houston, San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Racine, Wis., and Bend, Ore.

Here are some new ones:

Weeki Wachee, Fla.: Meet at noon Saturday, the corner of U.S. 19 and SR 50. Please bring a patriotic sign or an American flag. Please park at the far end of the Winn Dixie Shopping Center or the Bank of America parking lot. Another rally is planned at 10 a.m. Wednesday, at Mariner and Spring Hill Drive.

Melbourne, Fla.: 2 p.m. Saturday at Florida Marketplace, Babcock and Hibiscus. Outdoors weather permitting, inside the marketplace if it rains.
"Bring out the Red White and Blue and wear a yellow ribbon if you have a member of the family in the armed forces. Color Guard provided by VFW Post 4536 of Palm Bay. There will be a moment of remembrance for all Americans who have lost their lives to preserve our Freedom today," says a statement by the organizers.

Featured speakers include state Rep. Mitch Needleman; J.B. Kump from Rep. Dave Weldon's office; Jack Carney, past national commander of the VFW, Army veteran Rick Leonhart, Melbourne Vice Mayor Richard Contreras, Drie Riggins of PAFB Family Support and Andrea Shea King of WMMB. Music provided by Plan 9, Southern Thunder Band, Cleve Frink, Michelle Murillo and Lee Ann Figley. Also appearing: Palm Bay Jr. ROTC Master of Cermonies: Larry Brewer of WMMB. Sponsored by Clear Channel Radio Brevard.

Joplin, Mo.: Peace Through Strength Rally at 11 a.m. Saturday, steps of Joplin City Hall.
"Bring a PRAYER, flag, sign, or patriotic song or statement to support our troops. The Rally for America is for the people who despise war but understand that there are times when we have to fight; people who want to answer the 'peace by appeasement' crowd. Sponsored by local citizens with the support of Glenn Beck affiliate KQYX Radio," the organizers say.

Spokane: 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Spokane Veterans' Memorial Arena's parking lot. Bring friends and family to support our troops. Former City Councilman Joel Crosby will speak.

Omaha: noon Saturday, March 8 at Heartland of America Park downtown, 8th and Douglas Streets. Free parking on the north edge of the park from 8th Street, overflow parking on adjacent streets and in downtown lots. Parking metered spots are free on weekends. Buses may temporarily park (please call 402-444-6363 for authorization) along the east side of 8th Street, just north of Dodge.

Charleston, S.C.: 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22 at Joe Riley Stadium.
