My take is that the issue fuel the hostility of American politics is the abortion issue. It erupted with the Bork SC nomination and politics has been very nasty ever since. The nature of the abortion issue is that it a win - lose game and it is setting a win-lose tone for most political debates. At this point I'd be perfectly happy if GWB completely forgot the word "Iraq", said "Forget it, no attack", and we got on with other things. If Saddam did something after that, THEN we nail him. And most likely with international support. Unless of course he developed nukes and took over Saudi Arabia. Bush would look right but we would all be screwed anyway. I am not so sure I would wan't to live in Tel Aviv either. Paul
