As I clarified to Dave, I meant how we handled the aftermath. I was much more for these war before I realized I might be wrong in thinking that the Bush Administration really was going to take full responsibility for rebuilding the post-Saddam Iraq, but now I'm not so sure.

They can't........we don't have the money. Do you understand why Turkey was such a stickler over negotiating the issue of aid and a loan, the amounts, etc.? During the last Iraqi war, Bush Sr. promised all kinds of help to Turkey without drawing up a formal agreement, and then reneged. Turkey ended up footing a big bill for all the Kurdish rebels that fled to Turkey. Those same rebels have caused major problems and unrest for Turkey during the past ten years.

Iraq will get screwed particularly if Saddam blows up its oil operations. Much like Afghanistan, Iraq will be mostly on its own. Bush will be off to NK or some other axis member and will meet with the new Prime Minister of Iraq once a year as he does Afghanistan's and that's that

This war is all about America and its sense of security.
