Carolyn (Parachute Pants) Parrish... Was she one of JC's appointments? That would be telling, no? The nomination process is far from perfect, but it probably weeds the most serious losers. If she were appointed as a candidate, there would be a double dose of irony -- wasn't Parrish the one who went to war with JC in caucus over how much he was (or wasn't) doing for women? He appoints her ostensibly to increase the number of women MPs, and then she publically criticizes him for not doing enough to promote women. Talk about biting the hand... My wife is a very successful professional, and has no use whatever for preferential treatment.
