this on-again-off-again-how much will you pay me? stuff leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Turkey is in a tough position. The general population doesn't much want a war right next door. After Gulf War I the US didn't take care of Turkey the way they promised so there is some resentment. Even for Gulf War I they came on board as the cruise missiles were leaving the ships. I suspect the same will happen this time.

I think the Kurds deserve their own country too, but there is no way of doing that with stiring up the separatist feeling in Eastern Turkey so I understand why it happened this way.

Congratulations on your new thread.

Thanks, drop by any time.
