Answatten:
1) Britain and Turkey-even in the unlikely event that they might abandon this alliance, which includes most of Europe (including ALL of the important nations of 21st Century Europe)-provide insignificant forces in the actual mission. The nearly endless reasons WHY they will remain involved are for the ears of interested REAL Americans, and I'll not waste time explaining them to left wing anti-American slugs like you.
2) While the UN is ALREADY a casualty of the protracted war against world Islam (They, and the sterile liberal media, just don't "get it" yet-but the UN is as dead as Julius Caesar), that pales in comparison to the long-term strategic DISASTER that resolving this conflict with Saddam Hussein still in power would have for the West (and the world in general). The Bush "secondary" position is that the Iraqis are still welcome to hang or shoot the bastard themselves-then submit to occupation. The end of Saddam, one way or another, in the very near future, is carved in stone.
3) The contemporary armed forces can function with 100% efficiency in the current weather, and about 97% efficiency in the worst-case weather of the region. That's hardly an inhibitor to action. The old Viet Minh (ancient heros of yours?) made the mistake of waiting patiently for bad weather to throw themselves at Que Sanh in 1968. They were completely destroyed by F5's dropping out of the low clouds, and napalm that, (suprise!) burns just as effectively in heavy rain as in dry weather. The Viet Minh ("Viet Cong", in NYT-SPEAK) were never seen on a battlefield again. So much for weather.
Everything's in good order and under control, AS, much to your continuing disappointment. Perhaps it's time for you and the other left wing sewer rats to go try to screw up someone ELSE'S country for a few decades. You're FINISHED in America. Live with it... |
