After Gulf War I the US didn't take care of Turkey the way they promised so there is some resentment. I understand the basics of the situation, at least as well as I can given all the filters between me and any real information, and I believe the Kurds were to some extent also hung out to dry after 1991. Life is often unfair. I just prefer the attitude of sucking it up and trying to create a workable government without a lot of apparent self-pity, despite the unfairness of it all. My typing skills don't allow long involved discussions, but I do appreciate the effort many of you put into this. Back to lurking. ARS
