It will be hard for me to accept the "I told you so" people when even saying that will probably mean we have been badly hurt and lost many lives.

It is important to remember that lessons cannot be learned if mistakes are not identified. If this war is the key to peace and prosperity, especially if coupled with democracy and a better life for those in the middle east, then you will probably never hear from a naysayer again because everyone will be out enjoying their prosperity.

It is not justification for a war just becuase some remote possibility is advantageous for all, each and every person must base their support on the major probabilities. Right now the probability is that Junior "Jingo" George is going to piss off so many Arabs and Muslims that we will become less secure, more in debt from military expenditures, and generally unhappy from the outcome of this war. Nobody wants to stand in international ruin just so they can say "I told you so".
