Reading some of the commentators tonight it seems as though there are a large number of people worried that the project to 'Democratize the Middle East' is doomed because it cannot be done. It strikes me that Bush has no firmly put the project to Democratize the Middle East on the Agenda for every think tank, pundit, Arab monarch and UN permacrat. For all his failings in diplomacy recently, he finally is starting to shape the world's agenda. Less people talking about WMD this week and that's a good thing. It might have been a correct argument but is wasn't an inspiring argument. Now there are folks in the world figuring out how to install freedom and democracy in the Middle East just to show that Bush couldn't do it.

It's nice to see the President using the bully pulpit well again. Let's hope it continues.
