I'm not sure I can cite any other examples myself but some other may be able to. I'm not 100% sure about this next thing but I don't think Hitler had directly threatened us either. Not being a history brain I'm not 100% sure about that but lets just say he hadn't. Was it wise of us to get involved in that? I'm not sure the line has to be a direct threat for me. If my instincts tell me that a person would acquire technology to use against other populations or the US then I'd be likely to want to strike before that person could put themselves in a position to change the future of the globe
