What's cricket anyway?

Imagine baseball with only 2 bases - home and 2nd. the pitcher (called bowler in cricket) throws (in a round arm motion called bowling) the ball from 2nd towards home and typically bounces the ball off the ground before it gets to the hitter (called batsman in cricket), and the runs are scored by running between the 2 "bases". The catcher in baseball terms is called the "wicket keeper" in cricket terms.

A very simplistic description, but good for starters :-)
