Not sure how accurate this is, but i heard that the amount
of counterfeit US one hundred dollar bills in circulation
outside the United States may be greate than 10%
and up to 30% with most of a quality than a touch & look
cannot determine if its real. I heard that many Russians
in days of bad Russian fiat would buy US$100 bills in the
same manner as buying physical gold, in that it seemed
to be "as good as gold."
.
No more.
.
Also, i heard something about a new US$100 being made
that is only for use outside the USA.
.
Not to echo what Jim Willey CB has spoken about USA money,
but in my opinion the amount of US dollars in circulation world wide
from the US Fed's printing presses without any backing like gold
are no different that those of the counterfeit presses in Iran where
the quality is near perfect. I'll guess that 1/2 to 3/4 of the Fed's
output is no different than the counterfeit versions.
