Congratulations Alinghi...;-) Russell Coutts is a class act...He gave his crew lots of the credit...they really pulled together and sailed extremely well...A clean sweep for the Swiss --> 5-0 in the 31st America's Cup. For 8 years New Zealand dominated...Change is healthy. The next cup will be sailed in the summer of 2007 (possibly along the coast of Portugal or Spain). Today Larry Ellison announced that he is leading a U.S. Syndicate that will represent The Golden Gate Yacht Club and challenge for the Cup in 2007...Ya gotta give him credit -- he's quite a competitor (of course he's got a generous budget to work with too <G>). regards, -s2@espn2didagoodjobcoveringmostoftherace.com
