Gaddafi's girls in brawl
03mar03
CAIRO: Women guards of Libyan dictator Colonel Muammar Gaddafi sparked a brawl at an Arab League summit yesterday – as their boss hurled insults at rivals inside.

Security men had to brandish weapons and physically restrain two women after they tried to barge into the meeting.

The pair, clad in combat gear, had been escorting Colonel Gaddafi in a limousine – but were asked to get out at the entrance to the hotel venue at Sharm El-Sheik. Trouble broke out when they tried to follow him.

Their boss caused a row in the summit when he claimed Saudi Arabia had formed "an alliance with the devil" when it asked US troops to protect it from Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War.

Saudi's Crown Prince Abdullah interrupted angrily questioning who put Colonel Gaddafi in power and saying: "Don't get involved in things which are not your business."
