This is hypocrisy:
I don't feel that Musharraf is a truly legitimate government. But so long as he's not involved in committing aggression against the US, or our allies in the region, he's not our problem and we can work with him.
You are clearly saying here that Pakistan has an illegitimate government by your own definition, but you are OK with having them as an ally. However, you are using the "but Iraq's government is illegitimate!" as an argument to invade Iraq.
>>>With all due respect, Hawk, there is no such definition of a "legitimate government" anywhere but in your personal world, and you know it.<<<<
Depends on what world you live in Zonder.. My world is not one of fantasy laden visions of Utopia, or a touchie-feelie belief that completes ignores the harsh reality..
It would help your position better if you could find a universal definition of an "illegitimate government", one that supports your personal definition, rather than try to slander my world view.
And yes.. the government of Monaco is illegitimate.
Can I trust you to try and argue how we are suffering as poor subjects of the Prince, and lobby to have the US invade the Principality of Monaco? That will be so much fun :-)
I'd like to be able to grab a coffee or a pizza, or maybe do some grocery shopping without worrying about whether the person next to me wearing the heavy coat is a suicide bomber
You and everyone else. The question is what the best method is to make sure terrorism does not strike your country again. I am not convinced that invading countries with half-baked excuses of an imagined threat who knows when in the future is the best method, that's all. |
