Bought a Dell with XP 6 months ago. Have had to reinstall 3 times already. With a 3 year service contract they don't want to talk to me unless I pay a fee for service call. They claim its software related. My 3 year old Compaq runs like a charm, never had a crash, or a single complex problem requiring a call for service. Maybe Dell was the best at one time, but I think they've caught up with themselves. Their famed claim to service is extinct. Rap
