I think i heard Neely say in one of his last interviews how difficult this particular time period is to read...and oddly enough how so many people turn to service oriented technicians like himself during these hard to read times. It's perfect really... sheep looking for a shepard the most during the most uncertain times...and likely being lead off the cliff regardless.

I read an interesting insight from Luc the other day about how the AAII actually leads the market in times like this...and I agree. For once maybe alot of the outright bearish sentiment is correct and NOT contrarian, as is often the case in true SECULAR bear mkts...the likes of which haven't been seen in these parts for 20 odd years or so.

If so these bearish sentiment extremes should be expanding as the mkt remains under pressure. I've actually been maintaining this type of scenario for a while now...

Also, I've seen very little mention of any type of continued range, perhaps volatile, here or anywhere else either fwiw.
