Although I am not sold on the idea that this is all about oil, I realize America's supply of natural gas and oil is diminishing.

We may be laying the groundwork to be sure that those who do control the oil fields will be of our liking and will be beholden and receptive to our foreign policies and "incentives" to do what we want and need.

The Conservatives like to make their point about other government's "vested interests" as if we don't have any.

IMHO, we are many years away from freeing ourselves, to a significant degree, from oil and even the hydrogen cars will require energy to extract it from water or another source.
