That is what you say, but it doesn't say that in the constitution. Sure, UN approval would be nice, but name me one war Bill went into, where he got UN approval first. None, I thought so. Gw tried, but is unlikely to get it. So. People will understand the reasons after the war, and take them into account.

The UN is far from irrelevant. It is the only world body we got.

True, but it is powerless, and out of date. A reformed UN could be relevant again, but not in its current form.
