The Patriot Act hopefully will be found unconstitutional. I think even the current court is going to have trouble swallowing that. There are provisions in there that throw way parts of the Constitution. You can't do that by an ordinary act of Congress (in theory, anyway); it takes a Constitutional amendment. And they could never get it for what they put in that bill. And Act II is even worse. At least the preliminaries I've seen anyway. It will be just fine with me if this Iraq mess is settled without military action. That will have to include the end of Saddam, though. They man cannot be trusted and he has proven it repeatedly. If he comes out with his hands up, nobody needs to get hurt. That world out there is not a kindergarten and it doesn't operate by Sunday School rules. You guys had better wake up to that fact. There are people out there who mean to bring us down and I see no reason why we should let them.
