I am beginning to despair. Are you going to try to find a support for your definition of "legitimate government" as it applies to other governments than the US, as in a universal definition, if one exists? Or are we going to fiddle around the issue with you throwing a rock here and there just because you do not like other forms of government than your own?
And yes.. we (at least I) have a different opinion about what constitutes a truly legitimate government.
Without sounding too harsh, let me point out that your opinion about what constitutes a legitimate government has zero bearing on this discussion unless you can show support to this position from international authorities - think legal definitions and precedents, Hawk.
Basically, you are trying to say that every government built on premises other than that of the US (i.e. democracy) are illegitimate, and hence the US should have the right to uproot them and put in its own puppets. This is a rather ridiculous train of thought I am hoping you are going to break away from, once you see that there is no legal basis for your claim, just the fact that you are American and cannot think other countries can have other systems.
it seems only 5,000 of 30,000 Monaco residents are actually voting citizens
Nice to see you are reading up a bit, Hawk. You must have missed the part where it says only those 6,000 or so are Monegasque citizens, and the rest are mere residents like myself. Not that I saw any voting taking place in the almost three years that I have been living here. |
