Systematic torture in Turkey ~ Systematic torture in Iraq. One is a US ally. The other you are trying to invade, because it is "a horror show" where there is systematic torture. Turkey has nothing to do with the debate on Iraq Yes it does, if you try to use "But they have torture in Iraq!" as an argument to invade this country, while you are allies with Turkey, another country with systematic torture, although the relationship might be too subtle for you.
