I don't hate Bush at all...

I don't have a vote, so I am indifferent to most of his political beliefs - they don't affect me much. He's probably a good man, with the best intentions....in his position, its hard not to be dedicated with patriotic fever. But being patriotic and a good man is not the only qualification needed of a President of the superpower, else I'd run too.

I have lately started to find his political behaviour irresponsible and chilling.

<<<that is their problem if our words of truth insulted them>>>

This is something i totally totally disagree with. It is not their problem alone, coz they eventually make it our problem, as obviously they have.

A good statesman attacks the problem, not people. A good statesman makes sure that he works towards the solution in every possible way, not letting his personal feelings, emotions make the situation worse. A good statesman puts the benefit of his people before his own need to pour out his venom.

I really don't care much about what his problems with N Korea is. In any case, verbal assault is not a part of a civilized people. It debases us and takes us to their level. Is that what you want him to do? If so, there are much more effective ways to become a rogue head of a rogue state.

If my wayward, drug addict teenager screams and gestures obscenities, it doesn't mean i match his speech and act. It just means that I tackle the problem of drug addiction and his behaviour in a rational and effective way. Quietly effective way. My tantrums won't make things better for any of us.....

And no, its *not* OK to be rude, especially for a US president, very especially when being rude would compromise our national security.

The chilling message could have been conveyed in many ways. Calling someone names doesn't convey what should have been conveyed, for now that they're nuclear, we are ready to lick their boots....which is all the more embarrassing to me...

All talk, no walk........thats what he's proved to be so far, I'm sorry say.

ahhh, i always get that extra burst of energy after my lunch.... Must be the beancurd. <g>
