We are reaching ultimate absurdity; the French are the leading opponent of a US-driven war in Iraq; Turkey has refused to help the US in that war; but France opposes Turkey's entry into the EU; even though France attacked other EU candidates for supporting the US on Iraq; Germany is supporting Turkey's EU inclusion even though Germany is swamped with Turkish workers; Germany is cooperating with France in the movement against the US policy in Iraq; but Germany can't agree with France on Turkey. Ever get the sneaky feeling that the inmates are running the asylum?
