Tell me why the common person in Europe did not protest the "splendid little war" Clinton fought in Kosovo. Surely there could have been more "humanitarian" ways of stopping Milosevic than sending in stealth aircraft (one of which got shot down) and bombing everything including a Chinese embassy.

The Balkan war raged for three years before Nato intervened. Three years of concentration camps, sieges, civilian mass graves, ethnic cleansing, and all manner of other awful crimes. Nato was unanimous on the eventual action, and the only reason Clinton skipped the UN is because a resolution would have been vetoed by Russia, who considers itself the Serbs' blood brother. Other than Russia, there was unanimity in the world about this mission.

Another thing...Clinton handled the political aspect of the Kosovo action with tact and diplomacy and was personally very well liked. Clinton would never allow dislike for America to reach the levels seen today under Bush. Condider the failure this represents in the backdrop of Sept 11 and all the good will it brought to America.
