Although there is much hatred, not all choose to vent their anger with violence and it's good to see someone reporting the peaceful demonstrations. Unfortunately, the suicide bombings are bigger news and get alot more attention.

Most people that live there are just trying to live out their lives and get by as best they can.The brother of our friend had a taxi business before the violence erupted but now he raises sheep ( Palestinians eat lots of lamb). He sells the meat to others and keeps what his family needs for their own food.

Our friend built a large house in Ramallah ( American money goes a long way over there). His brother watches it for him and makes it appear that someone is living there. Otherwise some rebels might move in and the Israelis will then doze it over. If this violence ever stops we will go there to visit. Our friend's son went there a few months ago and was cornered by the Israeli's. When he showed them his American passport they punched him in the face and said, "Welcome to Israel !!" His cousin got hauled off to jail and had the s(*& beat out of him. He was let go after a being held a few days.

IT has seemed like the more militant groups from the Israeli and Arab worlds try to antagonize each other into violence everytime peace appears on the horizon. Jewish as well as Arab terrorists seem to have some agenda which is served by being at war. Hamas and Hezbollah on the Arab side and the militants from Sharon's party ( Z-? ).
