I don't view war as a partisan thing
I don't directly, I view this war as a Carlyle thing. That is, I think Bush and some of his favorite supporters intend to get a lot of power and money from this war. The group involved can losely be defined by the Carlyle members, but includes others that they have either promised direct payments to, or virtual monopolies (such as News Corp).

This group is not inheriently partisan, although they currently make use of the Republican party for tactical reasons. I think it is best described as a cabel. The was is but one of their means to a greedy end.
