John, these people in the article below must figure the country will put up with anything. If they do this, when we have troops fighting in Iraq, I think they are going to find out that their actions have consequences. If the thought of it makes me madder than hell, I can imagine what it will do to a lot of people in the rest of the country.

Anti-war activists will hold a news conference Tuesday in San Francisco calling for a shutdown of the city's financial district if war breaks out.

Representatives from the group organizing the news conference, Direct Action to Stop the War, will call on Bay Area residents to walk out of school and work if war is declared, and conduct mass civil disobedience in San Francisco.

According to Direct Action representative Mary Bull, "Ordinary people need to start doing extraordinary things, because rallies and marches are just not enough."

The group plans to block off buildings and streets, hold sit-ins, and, effectively, paralyze business in San Francisco.<<<<<
