but I understand revenge. I think most people do I agree with you - pretty much everybody understands "revenge". We all want revenge, we feel the need for revenge burn inside us at times... However, western law is based not on "revenge" but on a rational assessment of the crime and the appropriate punishment. This is where we differ from the cavedwellers, even those of this day and age. In fighting the backward mentality of Islamic fundamentalists, we should take care not to descend to their level, to what they call "law". That is all I was trying to say.
